Ojodu-Berger Gets New 110-Unit Business Hub as Goldrim Plaza Opens
A new commercial centre has been added to the Ojodu-Berger business landscape following the commissioning of the 110-unit Goldrim Plaza in Lagos.
The facility was commissioned yesterday by the Executive Chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Council, Hon. Usman Hamzat, at a ceremony attended by business owners, government officials, community leaders and other dignitaries.
Located opposite the Lagos State Public Works Corporation in Ojodu-Berger, the plaza was developed by Goldrim Construction Company as a modern destination for entrepreneurs, traders and service providers.
Goldrim CEO Speaks on Project
Speaking at the commissioning, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Goldrim Construction Company, Mr. Gbenga Edeyokun, said the project was part of the company’s efforts to provide quality and functional spaces for businesses.
Edeyokun said the company had built its reputation around integrity and customer confidence, assuring clients that their investments in its projects were secure.
He noted that people spend a significant portion of their active hours in offices, shops and other business locations, explaining that the plaza was therefore designed to provide a comfortable and modern working environment.
According to him, the units feature private toilets and showers, while the interior and exterior corridors are well illuminated.
The facility also comes with a large parking area, CCTV surveillance and security personnel to enhance safety for occupants and visitors.
Financial, IT, Logistics Firms Among Occupants
Goldrim Plaza is designed as a one-stop commercial destination, bringing different businesses and services together in one location.
Some of the businesses already operating from the facility include financial institutions, medical suppliers, fashion and beauty businesses, information technology firms, logistics companies and foodstuff suppliers.
Edeyokun also revealed that the company offers a shop ownership scheme that enables customers to purchase units outright while making payments in instalments.
He disclosed that Goldrim Construction Company was also preparing to venture further into residential property development.
The company’s first housing projects, he said, are expected to be introduced soon in the Grammar School area of Ojodu-Berger.
Edeyokun assured prospective buyers that the company would continue to prioritise affordability, quality and durability in its property developments.
Council Chairman Commends Developer
Speaking at the event, Hamzat described the plaza as a major investment that could contribute to the economic development of Ifako-Ijaiye.
He said the project aligned with his administration’s vision of strengthening the council’s position as a growing commercial hub in Lagos State.
The council chairman commended Goldrim Construction Company and other private investors for contributing to enterprise development and urged occupants to use the facility responsibly.
He also appealed to traders and businesses operating within the plaza to maintain cleanliness and security, noting that the sustainability of commercial investments requires cooperation between developers and occupants.
Other dignitaries who delivered goodwill messages included the member representing Epe Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Tobun Abiodun, and the Lagos State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso.
They commended Edeyokun for his entrepreneurial efforts and contribution to the development of commercial infrastructure.
The commissioning ceremony ended with the presentation of keys to entrepreneurs who had secured spaces at the newly completed Goldrim Plaza.
